Frequently Asked Questions concerning renting a tent

 

Q. Should I have a floor in the tent so my guests won't be standing on grass?

A.   Flooring is available if needed, however if you state on the invitation that you are having an outdoor event, most times your guest will dress appropriately

 

Q. Will I need lights for the tent?   What are my options?

A. Most likely you will want some type of lighting under the tent. Lighting needs will depend on the type of event you are having and the time of your event/time of year, etc.

 

Q. Will I need sides for the tent? What are my options?

A. Sides on a tent are needed based on the weather and or the time of year.   Should you want sidewall, you will have choices between solids and windows and choices on whether you want specific sides of the tent walled in or all 4 sides.

 

Q. What are my electrical needs?

A. Electrical needs are based on the size tent you are renting and the amount/type of lights in the tent.

 

Q. Who will assess my electrical needs?

A. Our trained tent specialist and our in house licensed electrician will determine your electrical needs.

 

Q. Can I do my own electric or lights?

A. Due to liability, special events will not allow anyone but our staff to install anything electrical in our tents.

 

Q. What options do I have if the event day is very hot?

A. Fans under the tents are an option.   Air conditioning is also available, however the cost can be prohibitive.

 

Q. What options do I have if the event day is very cold?

A. You can wall the tent with sidewall.   We also have heaters available.

 

Q. How many heaters will I need? How long does a tank of propane last?

A. The amount of heaters needed, will depend on the size tent you have.

One tank of propane will last 6-8 hours.

 

Q. Do you have port-a- potties?

A. We have a list of preferred vendors that we recommend for portable bathrooms.

 

Q. How big of a dance floor will I need?

A. The size of your dance floor will depend upon the size of your tent and the number of people at your event.
